Context, not a claim
The bathing culture built on Anatolia’s thermal geology — Roman pools first, then the Ottoman hammam — is considerably older than the idea of a spa. That is genuinely interesting and it is context for reading a programme. It is not a statement about what any programme will do for you, and no part of this guide should be read as one.
What it does affect is practical: which facilities a property is likely to have, whether thermal access is included or charged, and how seasonal the offer is.
What to check locally
- Is thermal or hydrotherapy access included in the price?
- Is the facility on site, or is transport involved?
- Is access unlimited or a stated number of sessions?
- Does the programme run year-round, or only in shoulder season?
